PRR 379177, G-35, 1953 |
Description: |
Hagley. Here is a Digital Image from the Hagley Museum & Library Collection that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 4 February 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad gondola #379177, a G-35 built in the Altoona Car Shops in February of 1953. Along with the other gondolas pictured here were constructed in Altoona, but moved to Hollidaysburg for painting and stenciling. Much of what is shown at the left was demolished to make way for the PRR's new Samuel Rea Shop. |
